Dominika defeated Ioana
Raluca Olaru of Romania 6-2 6-2 to advance to the 3rd round of the US
Open for the first time.In the 3rd round to be played on Saturday, Dominika will play #9 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland. Dominika has played Radwanska twice before and trails the series 0-2, the last meeting was in Doha earlier this year and Dominika lost in 3 sets.

draw for the 4th and final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open has
been released and Dominika is the #18 seed and will play Jill Craybas of
the United States in the 1st round. They have never played before.

is out of New Haven after she had to retire with a heat illness.
Dominika just lost the 1st 7-6 when she had to pull out against Caroline
Wozniacki of Denmark.Dominika will next play the US Open which begins on August 25th.

Dominika is the #8 seed and will play Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in
the 1st round. In WTA competition they have played once before in
Beijing last year and Dominika won in straight sets. The 1st seed

Dominika is out of the Olympics after she lost 5-7 1-6 to #2 seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia.

defeated Tsvetana Pironkova
of Bulgaria 6-2 6-2 to advance to the 3rd round of the Olympics.
In the 3rd round, Dominika will play newly crowned world #1 Jelena Jankovic of Serbia. They have played twice before in WTA competition and the series is tied 1-1. Dominika won the last meeting earlier this month in Montreal in straight sets. Jankovic is apparently injured and the match will be played on Wednesday.

Dominika is through to the 2nd round at the Olympics after she defeated Pauline Parmentier of France 6-1 7-5. In the 2nd round to be played on Tuesday, Dominika will play Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria.

draw for the Olympics in Beijing, China has been released and Dominika
is the 16th seed and will play #46 Pauline Parmentier of France.
Dominika has played Parmentier once before at Tashkent last year and
lost in straight sets - Dominika is a different player now.Dominika could play either Marta Domachowska of Poland or Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria in the 2nd round. The first seed Dominika can meet is #2 seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia.
Dominika is playing her 1st Olympics and they are played on hardcourts. Controversely points are awarded here (somewhere between a tier 1 and tier 2 in number of points).

Dominika loses Montreal final

Dominika lost the final in
Montreal against #7 seed Dinara Safina of Russia 2-6 1-6. Even
though Dominika lost this afternoon she had a brilliant tournament
defeating 4 seeded players in a row and reaching her first tier 1 final
but the hottest player on the tour proved to be too tough for her.Some more good news is that Dominika will enter the top 20 when the new rankings are released on Monday. Congratulations Dominika on a great week!

Dominika is through to the final in Montreal
after she defeated #10 seed Marion Bartoli of France in a match time of
2 hours and 44 minutes. Congratulations Dominika!The match started at 15.00 and finished at just before 22.30 under the lights due to rain. The match started on Stadium court and the 1st rain delay started at 1 point after the 2nd set, the players were off for over an hour and came back and played 3 games and after a long rain delay the match was moved to Banque Nationale where Dominika claimed one of the best wins of her career.
This is Dominika's 2nd final of her young career and her biggest final. With this win Dominika moves into the top 20.
In the final to be played on Sunday at 13.30 ET, Dominika will face #7 seed Dinara Safina, Maria has never played Safina before. Can Dominika win her 1st WTA title and get her 5th straight win over a seeded player?

seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 7-5 6-2 to advance to the semis in
Montreal.A brilliant win for Dominika and hopefully she will continue this sort of play throughout the tournament.
In the semis to be played on Saturday, Dominika will play #10 seed Marion Bartoli of France, they have played once before earlier this year in Paris and Bartoli won in 2 sets. This match will start at 15.00ET on Stadium.

she defeated the 12th seed Nadia Petrova of Russia 7-6 6-2 to score her
2nd straight win against the big serving RussianThis is Dominika's 2nd appearance at a quarter-final in a tier 1 event (Doha in February) and Dominika's 5th appearance in a quarter-final this year.
In the quarters to be played at 13.00 local time, Dominika will play #2 seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia, they have played once before in WTA competition earlier this year which Jankovic won in straight sets.

scored one of the biggest upsets of her career in Montreal tonight as
she defeated #5 seed Elena Dementieva of Russia under the lights.
Dominika won 6-4 6-2 in 1 hour and 26 minutes in a match that finished
at just after 11 in the evening.In the 3rd round to be played on Thursday, Dominika will play either Nadia Petrova of Russia or Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand.

Dominika was the 1st player through to the 2nd round in Montreal today as she defeated Elena Vesnina of Russia 6-1 6-1 in 1 hour and 7 minutes. In the 2nd round Dominika will play #5 seed Elena Dementieva of Russia, they have played once before at Miami in March and Dementieva won in 3 sets.
